What is acrylamide?

If you consume anything that is a plant or plant based, and if it is baked or cooked in anyway, you’ve likely heard the term acrylamide. High amounts of this chemical is commonly associated with cancer. However, let’s not be overestimating its properties. Most people consume a safe level of acrylamide; it’s present in foods like toast, roasted asparagus, potato chips , and even roasted coffee.
