There’s an occasion for almost everything, and coffee is one of them. National Coffee Day is celebrated on September 29 in several countries, notably the United States and Canada. International Coffee Day, which is practically the same as National Coffee Day, is celebrated just a few days later on October 1 for many other countries.
Other countries also celebrate their own National Coffee Day earlier, with Portugal celebrating as early as April 14th. Costa Rica also has their own Coffee Day (of course!), which is the second Friday of September (this year it was September 9). Coffee Day is more than just enjoying coffee. It’s about promoting fair-trade practices, supporting coffee farmers, sustainability, and even discounts for coffee almost anywhere.
