As a relatively simple coffee drinker, and one that mostly drinks at home, I pretty much overlook the seemingly rich world that is coffee froth. By coffee froth I mean practically all coffee beverages that involve foamed milk or cream. They can be quite artsy in appearance, with the milk foam resembling objects. But there’s much more to froth than being used for art, it is also present in many beverages, such as lattes, mochas, hot chocolate. The froth, since it is foamy, can also serve as an insulator (similarly to the head of beer, or even the foam formed by spittle bugs), so it’s particularly useful if you like to keep your beverage hot.
