I had a recent visit to the Los Angeles County Arboretum in Arcadia. It was a vibrant blend of nature, charm, and unexpected company. Wandering the lush trails surrounded by an astonishing diversity of plants—from towering palms to delicate blooms—I was delighted by the presence of free-roaming peacocks, their iridescent feathers adding a regal flair to the landscape. The aptly named Peacock Café offered a perfect pause, where a warm cup of coffee became the ideal companion for soaking in the scenery. With birds strutting nearby and greenery in every direction, the café added comfort and character to an already memorable day of exploration. And hey, the coffee wasn’t that expensive—it wasn’t Starbucks but it was good.
