What’s your mug made of?

We talk about coffee so much that we’ve forgotten to talk about one thing: mugs. A mug itself as a form factor is pretty iconic: a large cup with a handle, typically used for drinking beverages like coffee and tea. But what are they made of? Most coffee mugs tend to be made out of pottery materials, with include ceramics such as porcelain and other stoneware and may even be recycled. These type of mugs tend to be quite affordable, relatively durable, and has some insulation. But coffee mugs can come in many different materials, such as glass, plastic and metals. But for the most part, coffee mugs can be quite decorative, such as can be seen on our shop. From a speckled grey mug to a colorful array of texts and even a mug adorning a woven sleeve, it is quite clear that mugs are more than just vessels to drink out of.
